What are your office hours?
We have helpful pixies in the office Monday to Friday (hours vary depending on our entertainment commitments). The pixie answering machine is on whenever we are unavailable, so feel free to call and leave a message for us anytime. We will return your call ASAP, usually within 24 hours.
We're very fairy sorry but the pixies are super dooper busy on weekends flying all over humanland, spreading our magic, so we're unable to answer your calls on Saturdays & Sundays. On weekends please feel free to leave a message and we will get back to you at our earliest convenience. We ask that all bookings/details be finalised by Thursday of the week preceeding your party.
What days of the week are you available for bookings?
7 days a week (Saturdays & Sundays being our busiest of course). So we can come to your pre-school, playgroup, Primary school, or after school parties.
Do you have insurance?
Yes we have public liability insurance and can provide a copy of our certificate of currency if required.
Do you have a venue?
No, we have big plans for a Pixieland party room in the future, but at the moment if you don't want to have your party at home, you may like to consider holding the party in your local park, scout hall or church hall. The pixies can even visit your celebration at McDonalds, Hungry Jacks etc. Contact us for venue ideas in your area!
The pixies prefer to entertain outdoors (in the backyard or park), but if this is not an option you may consider: minimising furniture, toys & breakables in the loungeroom; decorating the garage; or even clearing a space on the verandah/patio.
What age group do you cater for?
We specialise in entertainment for boys & girls between 3 & 8 years, but are very popular with children of all ages (even the big grown up kids!). Girls right up to their teens love our Bratz, genies, rockstar and cheerleading parties - lots of face paint and glitter, plus dancing, singing and non-stop fun can be a great start to a slumber party for any primary school-aged group of girls who just wanna have fun!!
Every group of party guests is unique and our entertainers are trained to adapt games & activities to suit. We always endeavour to make every child feel included and special!
Do you travel to our area?
The pixies travel far & wide - all over Newcastle, the Hunter, Port Stephens, Lake Macquarie, and even the Central Coast! The pixies have been sighted as far afield as Sydney, Muswellbrook, Merriwa, Kendall & beyond!
Trixie the Pixie even journeyed to Pennsylvania, USA in 2005 to spread her magic and pixie skills to the children of America in the magic department of summer camp!! And in the winters of 2008 & 2009, Snowflake the Winter Fairy was a regular visitor to Thredbo Ski Resort in the snowy mountains of NSW.
Private pixie headquarters are located in Hamilton. We do charge additional travel fees for parties outside the surrounding suburbs, taking into account petrol costs, time, as well as wear & tear on our pixie mobiles. Considering all these factors, we're sure you will find our travel fees to be very reasonable (absolute maximum of $1 per kilometre charged one way only). Please contact us to find out if a travel charge applies to your booking!
What time should we have the entertainment arrive?
We recommend allowing ½ hour from the start of the party so that all guests are present and settled in, ready to have some pixie fun!!
How can we make a booking?
Either call or email with the following details:
- preferred character
- preferred party date
- preferred time
- chosen package
- your name
- contact details
- party location
- postal address
- child's name & age (for birthdays)
- approx. number of children
- any other special information
We will allow 24 hours for you to confirm your pixie booking by payment of a minimum $50 deposit (non-refundable) and once this is received we will send written confirmation.
Your entertainer will magically call to confirm details a couple of days prior to the event.
Important note: enquiring does not guarantee your booking. Please follow the above guidelines to ensure a smooth booking process. We do not accept tentative bookings, and we must insist on prompt payment of all deposits.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, bank deposit, netbank transfer, and cash only on the day. Further details provided upon booking.
What if we need to cancel?
If you need to cancel your booking due to wet weather, sickness or other extreme circumstances, the cancellation fee is 50% of the total cost of your chosen package.
