How far in advance do I need to book?

We recommend booking at least 3 weeks in advance - during busy times we may book out sooner, but with many talented entertainers here at Pixieland, we are often able to accommodate late bookings. So even if your event is only a few days away, please contact us with your enquiry - we may be able to help!

What are your office hours?

We have helpful pixies in the office Monday to Friday (hours vary depending on our entertainment commitments). The pixie answering machine is on whenever we are unavailable, so feel free to call and leave a message for us anytime. We will return your call ASAP, usually within 24 hours.

We're very fairy sorry but the pixies are super dooper busy on weekends flying all over humanland, spreading our magic, so we're unable to answer your calls on Saturdays & Sundays. We do check the messages sporadically throughout weekends in case of urgent notifications.

We ask that all payments be finalised at least 1 week before your party as we cannot accept credit card or bank deposit payments at the last minute.

What days of the week are you available for bookings?

7 days a week (Saturdays & Sundays being our busiest of course).

Do you have insurance?

Yes we have Public Liability and Workers Compensation insurances - we can provide a copies of Certificates of Currency if required.

Do you have a venue?

No, we have big plans for a Pixieland party room in the future, but at the moment if you don't want to have your party at home, you may like to consider holding the party in your local park, scout hall or church hall. The pixies can even visit your celebration at McDonalds, Hungry Jacks etc. Contact us for venue ideas in your area! The pixies prefer to entertain outdoors (in the backyard or park), but if this is not an option you may consider: minimising furniture, toys & breakables in the loungeroom; decorating the garage; or even clearing a space on the verandah/patio.

 

What age group do you cater for?

We specialise in entertainment for boys & girls between 3 & 8 years, but are very popular with children of all ages (even the big grown up kids!). Every group of party guests is unique and our entertainers are trained to adapt games & activities to suit. We always endeavour to make every child feel included and special!

Do you travel to our area?

The pixies travel far & wide - all over Newcastle, the Hunter, Port Stephens, Lake Macquarie, and even the Central Coast! The pixies have been sighted as far afield as Sydney, Muswellbrook, Dubbo & beyond!

Trixie the Pixie even journeyed to Pennsylvania, USA in 2005 to spread her magic and pixie skills to the children of America in the magic department of summer camp!! And in the winters of 2008 & 2009, Snowflake the Winter Fairy was a regular visitor to Thredbo Ski Resort in the snowy mountains of NSW.

Our entertainers are based throughout the Newcastle Region. We do charge additional travel fees for parties outside the surrounding suburbs, taking into account petrol costs, time, as well as wear & tear on our pixie vehicles. Considering all these factors, we're sure you will find our travel fees to be very reasonable. Please contact us to find out if a travel charge applies to your booking!

What time should we have the entertainment arrive?

For most packages, we recommend allowing ½ hour from the start of the party so that all guests are present and settled in, ready to have some pixie fun!!

How can we make a booking?

Either call or email us!

We will allow 48 hours for you to confirm your pixie booking by payment of a minimum $50 deposit (non-refundable) and once this is received we will send written confirmation. Your entertainer will magically call to confirm details a couple of days prior to the event.

Please note: enquiring does not guarantee your booking. We do not accept tentative bookings, and we must insist on prompt payment of all deposits.

How can I pay?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, bank deposit, netbank transfer, and cash only on the day. Further details provided upon booking.

What if we need to cancel?

If you need to cancel your booking due to wet weather, sickness or other extreme circumstances, $50 deposit is non-refundable.

If you need to postpone we will usually allow any payments to be carried over to your new date. This will be at the discretion of the pixies.

What do we need to provide?

Our friendly pixies bring along all of the equipment they need, including portable music. You provide the party food and we will provide the entertainment!

Optional: a rug or picnic blanket for the children to sit on during our show (outdoor parties), a table & chair for the face painting, and name tags for the party guests.
